Privacy
The short version: we collect your email address so we can send you what you asked for, and a nickname if you join the leaderboard. We never sell your details, we hold as little as we can, and you can leave whenever you like.
Who we are
This site is run by Trigon Puzzles. To reach us about anything on this page, email hello@trigonpuzzles.co.uk. Our full company details appear once, at the foot of every page.
What we collect
Only what we need. If you make an account: your email address and a nickname (and your first name, only if you choose to give it). If you play while signed in, we keep your game record — which puzzles you've done and your times — so the leaderboard can work. If you buy a book, we're told your name, email and what you bought, so we can send it. That's all.
What other people can see
The leaderboard shows only your nickname, your streak and your combined time. Your email and everything else stay in our database and are never put on a web page — there is nothing there for anyone, or any bot, to scrape. Prefer to stay unrecognised? Choose a nickname that isn't your real name.
Why we hold it, and your say
We keep your account so we can give you the account and leaderboard you asked for. We send marketing emails only if you tick the box to say yes — and every email has a one-click unsubscribe. You can play and stay on the leaderboard whether or not you take the emails.
Who helps us run it
To run the site we rely on a few trusted suppliers — a web host, an email service and a payment service. They handle your details only to do their job for us, under contract, and never for their own purposes. Your card number goes straight to the payment service; we never see it.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. Ask us to close it and we delete your details — though we may keep a note that an address has unsubscribed, purely so we never email you again by mistake. Purchase records are kept only as long as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or stop using it — just email hello@trigonpuzzles.co.uk. If you're ever unhappy with how we've handled your information you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we'd rather you told us first so we can put it right.
Signing in, and cookies
You sign in with a password you choose, and we confirm your email when you join, so an account can only belong to the person who owns that inbox. We set no advertising or tracking cookies — just one small cookie to keep you signed in. Puzzle progress, if you're not signed in, stays in your own browser and never reaches us.
Children
We don't knowingly collect email addresses from children under 13. If you think we have one, tell us and it will be removed.
